Green Line Neighborhood Project

A project of the Fall 2016 City After Civil Rights class at American University

In this semester-long project, groups investigated neighborhoods in and around the Washington, D.C. Metro's Green Line. Students investigated how the neighborhoods changed since Civil Rights legislation of the 1960s was passed. This legislation included the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the 1965 Voting Rights Act, the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, and the Fair Housing Act in 1968.
